Part-Time Dentist Opportunity
Family Health Center, Neptune, NJ
The Family Health Center in Neptune, NJ is seeking a part-time attending dentist to join our team! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside dental residents, providing Chairside teaching, diagnostics, and patient care in a supportive environment.
Position Details:

Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside mentorship and teaching to dental residents.
- Diagnose and treat patients, including performing routine cleanings and preventative procedures.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Perform a range of dental procedures, including extractions, root canals, implants, fillings, and oral surgery.
- Address bite issues and overcrowding.
- Apply dental sealants and whiteners.
- Prescribe medications as needed (e.g., pain relievers, antibiotics).
- Administer sedatives or anesthesia as required.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, models).
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting oral health and treatments provided.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise dental residents
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program.
- Successful completion of the National Board Dental Examination and relevant state or regional clinical examination.
- Five or more years of experience in an academic dental program.
- Familiarity with Commission on Dental Accreditation standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
